Individual Contributions

Inspired by Disneyland’s Pixar Fest in California, I conceptualized, pitched, organized, communicated, and executed a Pixar Fest Maze within the My Virtual Magic Kingdom remake. After a player-voted poll was tallied, June was voted to be themed around Pixar movies and shorts during June 2024. I found this as a great opportunity to design a maze highlighting some of the players favorite Pixar films and shorts. The maze was approved on May 20th, and opened it’s doors on June 17th for the players to enjoy. With a little less than 1 month to execute, I communicated with the rest of the team to contribute rooms featured within the Pixar Fest 2024 maze. I maintained professional and frequent communication within this time frame, to ensure all deadlines were met and ready for the opening event. We successfully highlighted the majority of the current Pixar movies, as well as various Pixar shorts. I designed and built 10 rooms, along with 33 prizes that the players had the opportunity to win. These prizes included both animated and static, pins, clothing, and furniture items. I designed all Pixar Fest Maze 2024 promotional graphics, to efficiently communicate all rules, disclaimers, and prizes to the player base. Pixar Fest 2024 received positive feedback, with the players enjoying the rooms and prizes, and bringing new and returning players to the game.

I was inspired by the bright blocks of colors and the Pixar Ball motif featured in Disneyland California’s Pixar Fest. The backgrounds were also inspired by various Disney Pixar movies and shorts.
